WP Tripsrath Substation

110/33 kV Single-circuit Feeder

Aerial view of an electrical substation with a power transformer, high-voltage switchgear, a steel lattice gantry for overhead power line connection and control buildings, surrounded by agricultural fields.

With its commissioning on June 2, 2026, the WP Tripsrath substation was successfully connected to the grid, creating another high-capacity grid connection point for wind energy.

The facility is designed as a single-circuit line and connects the 110- and 33-kV voltage levels.

The substation serves as the central grid connection for the connected wind farm and provides the necessary conditions for reliably feeding the generated wind energy into the power grid. In this way, the project makes a further contribution to the expansion of renewable energy and to strengthening a sustainable energy infrastructure.

Our WT team handled all electrical and wiring connections. In addition to the technical implementation, the project was characterized in particular by close, collaborative work among all parties involved. Through open communication, streamlined coordination, and a shared understanding of the project goals, the project was successfully completed.

WP Tripsrath demonstrates that a robust grid infrastructure and trust-based cooperation form the foundation for a successful energy transition.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their dedicated collaboration and the successful completion of this project.
