SSL/TLS Encryption
This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
4. Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Cookies may come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for analysing user behaviour).
Cookies have various functions. Some cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. storing your cookie settings). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behaviour.
Cookies that are required for the electronic communication process or for the provision of certain functions you have requested (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can set your browser to inform you about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy and in the cookie settings, which you can open via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
Consent via Our Cookie Banner
This website asks for your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser or to the use of certain technologies via its own cookie banner. The cookie banner is operated by us; no data is transmitted to third parties in the process.
Your choice is stored in the cookie “wt-systems-cookie-consent” in your browser. It contains only the categories you have selected and the version of the cookie settings, and is deleted automatically after one year. If we change the cookie settings of the website, we will ask for your consent again.
You can change or revoke your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. If you revoke your consent, the Google Analytics cookies that have already been set are deleted.
The cookie banner is used to obtain the consents required by law for the use of certain technologies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Server Log Files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Hostname of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.
Contact Form
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The details from the form are processed via an interface on our own server (hosted by IONOS, see section 2) and forwarded to us by e-mail. To send these e-mails, we use the Brevo service of Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Brevo processes the details exclusively on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo.
This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry is related to the fulfilment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.
The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Enquiry by Email, Phone or Fax
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your enquiry including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We will not pass on this data without your consent.
The data you send to us via contact enquiries will remain with us until you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Applications via the Application Form
You can apply to us via the application form on this website. In doing so, we process the details you provide in the form (salutation, name, e-mail address and, optionally, phone number and message) as well as the application documents you upload as PDF files. They are transmitted in the same way as with the contact form, i.e. via an interface on our own server and by e-mail via the Brevo service.
We process your data insofar as this is necessary for deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of an employment relationship) and – if you have given your consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be revoked at any time. Within our company, your data will only be passed on to persons involved in processing your application.
If you are hired, the data you have submitted will be stored in our data processing systems for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship. If you are not hired or you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain your data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to six months from the end of the application process, for example in order to answer questions about your application or to meet our obligations to provide evidence under the German General Equal Treatment Act (AGG). The data will then be deleted, unless statutory retention obligations or another legal reason prevent deletion.
Job advertisements on external job portals to which we link from this website are subject to the privacy notices of the respective provider.
5. Analytics Tools
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or statistics tools and other technologies into our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies and does not carry out any independent analyses. It only serves to manage and deliver the tools integrated via it. However, Google Tag Manager does record your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google's parent company in the United States.
Google Tag Manager is only loaded once you have consented to the “Analytics” category via our cookie banner. Without your consent, no connection to Google is established.
Google Tag Manager is used on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG). You can revoke your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
The company is certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF). The DPF is an agreement between the European Union and the US intended to ensure compliance with European data protection standards for data processing in the US. Every company certified under the DPF undertakes to comply with these data protection standards. You can check the certification of Google LLC in the list of participating organisations: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list.
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyse the behaviour of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of visit, operating systems used and the origin of the user. This data is assigned to the respective end device of the user. It is not assigned to a user ID.
Google Analytics uses technologies that make it possible to recognise the user for the purpose of analysing user behaviour. For this purpose, Google Analytics sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_XP1SP4ZDEX”, each with a storage period of two years. The information collected by Google about the use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there. IP addresses are not logged or stored in Google Analytics 4.
Google Analytics is only used if you have consented to the “Analytics” category via our cookie banner. It is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG. You can revoke your consent at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer.
The transfer of data to the US is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/. The company is also certified under the “EU-US Data Privacy Framework” (DPF), see the section “Google Tag Manager”.
Data Processing Agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
