On August 13, 2026, the UW WP Oberdielfen substation in Wilnsdorf was successfully commissioned. The 110/33 kV substation is designed as a single-feed substation and has five medium-voltage bays.
What made this project particularly unique was its location. The substation is situated in a forested area with limited access, a slope on the property, and rocky ground. Consequently, preparing the site required a considerable amount of effort.
The construction period also presented additional challenges. The work took place during the winter months and therefore had to be carried out under difficult conditions due to snow.
Especially under these circumstances, good preparation, flexible solutions, and a well-coordinated team are essential.
Our WT team handled both the electrical installation and the power line connection for the substation. This meant that a significant portion of the technical implementation was in the hands of our colleagues on site.
The result: a completed substation that is now ready for operation.
Behind every substation are people who, even under challenging conditions, maintain a clear overview, find solutions, and carry out their work with technical expertise and passion.
Thank you to all my colleagues who successfully carried out the WP Oberdielfen project!
