Oberlungwitz East Substation

Oberlungwitz Ost Substation: 115/33 kV single-circuit connection with in-house electrical installation and line connection. Implemented with precision, even under winter conditions.

On March 18, 2026, the Oberlungwitz Ost substation was successfully commissioned, creating another high-capacity grid connection point.

The facility is designed as a single-circuit line and connects the 115- and 33-kV voltage levels. Our WT team handled all electrical installation and line connection work.

The project was characterized by adjustments made as it progressed. To ensure a structurally sound foundation, targeted soil improvement measures were implemented, and the subgrade was properly prepared using binding agents.

Weather conditions also required a coordinated approach. Snow and persistent ground frost led to adjustments in the construction schedule, which were systematically incorporated as the project progressed.

Thanks to clear planning, close coordination within the team, and a solution-oriented approach, we were able to effectively manage the project’s framework and bring it to a successful conclusion.

Oberlungwitz East thus once again exemplifies precise execution, technical clarity, and a project team that delivers reliable results even under challenging conditions.

We would like to thank our team for their dedicated work, the great photos, and their high level of commitment on the construction site.
