With its commissioning on April 10, 2026, the Lehrte-Ahlten substation was successfully connected to the grid, creating another high-capacity grid connection point. The facility is designed as a single-feeder substation and connects the 110- and 33-kV voltage levels. A medium-voltage switchgear system with three feeder panels was installed. Electrical installation and line connection were carried out by our WT team.

The project was characterized by technically challenging conditions and the need for precise coordination of construction processes. A particular challenge was the installation of the operations building in a confined space. Thanks to coordinated planning, the project was carried out in a structured and successful manner.

Detailed technical coordination was also required for the grounding system due to a nearby gas line. To this end, the grounding network was designed, connected to the solar park, and then verified through measurement.

With the successful connection, another important contribution to the grid infrastructure was made, and the foundation for the reliable feed-in of renewable energy was expanded.

UW Lehrte-Ahlten thus stands for technical precision, structured execution, and a project team that can confidently handle even complex conditions.

We would like to thank everyone involved for their dedicated collaboration and the successful completion of this project.
