Beuna West Substation, Phase 1

Scalable Expansion - Network configuration is being further developed.

Snow-covered electrical substation with high-voltage switchgear, two steel lattice gantries, an overhead power line connection to the grid and a control building.

Following the successful commissioning of Beuna East, the Beuna West Substation (Phase 1) has now also been connected to the grid as scheduled. The first construction phase differs only slightly in terms of structure and technical design. Here, too, a transformer bay with an associated line bay forms the basis for a scalable expansion that will eventually include four transformer bays and two line bays.

A key feature was the line connection. The new connection spans the existing Beuna Süd substation and integrates it into the newly created grid concept. Beuna Süd was connected to the Beuna West low-voltage line and thus structurally reintegrated.

With the successful connection of Beuna West, the planned grid configuration in the Beuna project area has now been technically implemented.
