Beuna Ost Substation, Phase 1

Transformer field and line field as the basis for expansion to four transformer fields and two line fields

Snow-covered electrical substation with power transformers, high-voltage switchgear, insulators and busbars for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy.

The Beuna Ost Phase 1 substation was successfully commissioned on January 30, 2026, adding another high-capacity hub to the existing grid infrastructure.

The first construction phase currently includes one transformer substation and one power line substation that are in operation. Ultimately, a total of four transformer substations and two power line substations are planned.

The connection has been provided via a line field and a 110-kV cable link between the line field and the transformer field.

The tight timeframe between the order placement and the scheduled commissioning was particularly challenging. To ensure that the ambitious timeline could be met, supplier slots were reviewed early on and specifically expedited.

The successful commissioning of the first construction phase marks an important milestone in the project and underscores the technical maturity of the chosen solution.

Special thanks go to our project manager and our entire installation team for their dedicated and precise execution of this project.

Beuna is a prime example of the synergy between technical expertise, forward-thinking planning, and seamless teamwork.
