PV for the "Kaufpark Nickern"

Benjamin joined the WT team in August 2024, bringing with him a wealth of experience, dedication, and expertise.

Previously, he worked throughout Germany, serving numerous corporate clients and overseeing commissioning and protection systems. Today, he works in WT’s service department, where his responsibilities include ensuring reliable protection technology and safe commissioning.

At the end of September, we spent a day with Benjamin as he helped commission a new solar power system on the roof of the shopping center "Kaufpark Nickern".

While the client handled the plant construction, WT ensured that the protection systems functioned properly and that the grid connection went smoothly. According to the established schedule, Benjamin will conduct the pending protection demonstration in mid-October.

It is precisely with projects of this size that the importance of experience and precision becomes apparent. After all, it is often not the technology itself that is the bottleneck, but the material.

Benjamin explains: “The problem with these protective cabinets—or, more generally, with the materials needed for the PV system—is the lead times. The companies are all working at full capacity, but our enclosure manufacturing operation is really efficient and very well organized. As a result, we were ultimately able to produce the protective enclosure relatively quickly.”

As a result, the system was able to be put into operation on schedule.
