Groundbreaking Ceremony for Our New Location in Pirna
The groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter in Pirna. The new site creates space for growth, collaboration, and a sustainable energy supply.

Today marked the start of another milestone in the development of WT Energiesysteme. The official ground-breaking ceremony marks the start of construction of our new site in Pirna.
We are investing around 15 million euros in a modern company building with a multi-storey car park. In the long term, the site will be expanded to include a development and training area. In total, around 80 new jobs will be created in a forward-looking environment.
The new site represents the targeted further development of our existing structures. Established processes will be refined, cross-departmental collaboration expanded, and the organisational structure clearly geared towards future growth. In this way, we are improving our project management and laying the foundations for greater efficiency and scalability.
The sustainable site concept will be continued and expanded in Pirna. The standards established in Riesa will be adopted and sensibly supplemented. Photovoltaic systems on all roof surfaces, pre-installed charging infrastructure and the integration of battery storage systems will enable an efficient local energy supply and gradually lead to greater energy independence.
“The new building consistently adheres to our guidelines on environmental responsibility. In doing so, we are demonstrating that economic growth and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive, and we are laying the foundations for greater security of supply and resilience,” explains Managing Director Marek Reschke.
With Pirna, we are creating space for people, ideas and collaboration, and are actively shaping the next steps in the energy transition.
Many thanks to everyone involved for their support on this special occasion.
