For the further development of our company and the further training of our employees, we currently use the funding programmes of the ESF and the state of Saxony for the following measures:

Intensive course – language training programme in St. Julians Malta

Mr Uwe Schubert participated in an intensive English course at the language school in St. Julians Malta from 26 March 2018 until 13 April 2018. The goal of the course was to achieve an improvement in his English comprehension. Mr Schubert only had a slight prior knowledge of the English language. Our employee received intensive training leading to the award of a certificate by means of this measure. Following the completion of this course, Mr Schubert can now also be employed at international construction sites, for instance in Sweden, on behalf of WT Energiesysteme GmbH.

Switching authorisation 30 and 110 kV – foundation course and refresher course

TÜV Rheinland Akademie GmbH trained our employees on 4 and 5th September 2018 in relation to switching authorisaton for 30 and 110 kV.

Foundation course – Switching authorisation for 30 and 110 kV
By means of the instruction offered here, all practically relevant courses of action and requirements that are to be placed upon authorised persons in networks up to 30 kV and 110 kV must be learned. At the same time, information on equipment and its tasks in the network must be provided so that, in conjunction with the knowledge of relevant standards, the work assigned to him can be fulfilled and potential dangers avoided.

Refresher course – Switching authorisation for 30 and 110 kV
As defined by DIN VDE 0105 and UVV DGUV (Accident prevention regulations of the German Statutory Accident Insurance Association) regulation 3 (formerly BGV A3), special instruction is required for working and operating in high-voltage installations.

Primtech 18 Basic Training, AutoCAD Basic Training and primtech Workshop

In November 2018, three of our employees took part in the basic training “primtech and AutoCAD”. The aim of the AutoCAD course is to get to know the new possibilities of the current version, especially to learn to use new functions for civil engineering (primary planning). It serves as the basis for the efficient use of the primtech solution.

Content AutoCAD Basic Training: Introduction to AutoCAD user interface, navigating in 2D, generate geometries, change orders, dimensioning, marking, basics of drawing output with predefined plotters, Creating and editing blocks, coordinate input, basics of drawing output with predefined plotters

The primtech training is used to calculate the effect of short-circuit currents (according to IEC 60865-1: 2011). This can be used to calculate the forces resulting from the specified short-circuit current. Since this is a safety-relevant calculation, the use of a suitable tool is essential. In addition, the base training service getting to know the relationship between short-circuit cable forces which case cable forces and bundle Seilzukräfte and the resultant forces and bending stress for pipes. It is a training to optimize the sag of ropes and the transfer of the cable deflection.

In January 2019 the seminar primtech workshop was held. This Training is for use of the integrated calculation function to calculate the effect of short-circuit currents with primtech 3D IEC 60865-1: 2011 standard. Our employees learned the relationship between short-circuit tensile forces, the case tensile forces, and bundle tensile forces, as well as the resulting forces and bending stress for pipes.

Construction Site SiGe Coordinator – Specialized Coordinator Skills

The Occupational Safety and Health Ordinance (BaustellV) requires builders to appoint one or more suitable SiGe coordinators for construction sites employing employees of several employers, depending on the type and scope of the construction project. Because the SiGe coordinator contributes to making the construction project, the construction process and the subsequent work on the construction system safe at all times. His activities require professional qualifications, which are specified in the rules on occupational safety at construction sites (RAB 30). In the course the special coordinator skills were taught. The seminar meets the quality criteria for course participants according to RAB 30, Annex D.

Fire Safety Helper Training

On 07.01.2019 and 11.01.2019, the employees of WT Energiesysteme GmbH were trained as fire protection workers in Riesa and on January 15, 2019 in Dresden.

The training for the fire protection helper according to ASR A2.2 was carried out with a theoretical and a practical part and had the following content:

Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Part 1

The Optando Academy conducted the course “Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Part 1” for Mr. Fischer in January 2019 with the following topics:

  • Requirements for Protection Equipment in Primary and Secondary Technology

Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering Part 2

In February 2019 Part 2 of the course “Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering” was carried out for Mr. Fischer. The seminar had the following contents:

  • Detect the presence of static electricity and electromagnetic fields.

Assessment of electrotechnical activities on construction sites

  • Recognizing and assessing appropriate protection systems, e.g. proper grounding or overvoltage protection.
  • Recognition and evaluation of typical behavioral patterns and misconduct in electrical engineering activities.

F2 – Expertise for Lightning Protection and Earthing Systems (DIN 18014,DIN VDE 0185-305-3)

The company Berufliche Weiterbildung Elektrotechnik (Further Vocational Training in Electrical Engineering) – Andreas Aust in Dresden trains three employees of WT Energiesysteme GmbH at the end of July 2018 concerning lightning protection and earthing systems. Our employees are provided with a basic overview of the application and implementation of the German lightning protection standard. They get to know the requirements of DIN VDE 0185-305 and will learn on the basis of practical measurements how the standard is applied correctly.

Goals and results: The installation, management and maintenance of lightning protection systems requires specific expertise. Electronic and electrical systems are endangered or even destroyed by direct lightning strikes. The lightning protection standard published in 2014 is a translation of the European standard IEC EN 62305 into German law and sets a national framework for effective lightning protection systems. To protect systems against lightning strikes, it is necessary to minimise the dangers in accordance with the standard by means of suitable protective devices.

Training on turnover tax law for the export and import of goods and services

Training on turnover tax law for the export and import of goods and services took place at the Haufe Akademie GmbH & Co. KG in Berlin from 25 October until 26 October. The contents of this training course included the following elements:

Breakdown: Delivery, service, work delivery, work performance, intra-community deliveries, export deliveries, accounting records and proof of receipt, confirmation of arrival, VAT ID number, ATLAS procedures for exports, imports to third countries and to EU countries, chain and three-way deals, factory deliveries and other deliveries that are subject to turnover tax abroad, reverse charge procedures, missing trader frauds, registration in other EU and non-EU Member States, billing peculiarities, current legal developments, taxation of services in the EU and worldwide, services to foreign customers, services provided by foreign suppliers, current legal development s in the fields of services law, processing of foreign matters, Service Commission – SUB.
